Comedy fans and students of the humor sciences should be aware of the monthly Comedy Conclave meeting at 6 p.m., Sunday, June 24, at Rounding Third Bar and Grill, on N. 63rd St. and W. Bluemound Road.

That’s where comic and comic guru Erik Koconis (right) leads an informal discussion on some of the theoretical and strategic aspects of making people laugh. Participants include comedy practitioners who stick around for Rounding Third’s weekly open mic afterward. It’s a lively, insightful conversation with insiders who know what’s funny. Past conclaves have included performers all the way from Uranus.

To learn more, go to the Comedy Conclave website, and read Christy Watson’s interview with Erik.
