It’s that time of the month, and Erik Koconis is gathering a group of funny folk for the Comedy Conclave.

That’s where practitioners and aficionados of comedy chat about what makes people laugh. Much of their insight is based on first-hand knowledge of laughing.

It’s informal, informative and free.

It starts at 6 p.m., Sunday, Nov. 25, at Rounding Third Sports Bar, 6317 W. Bluemound Road. And it’s directly followed by a free open mic session with many of the discussion participants practicing what they preach.

Speaking of funny, catch Matthew Reddin’s review in ThirdCoast Digest of broadminded’s new sketch comedy show, Participation Prize – Win, Lose or Just Show Up.

The grandes dames of Milwaukee sketch are at it again with their first performance since the Milwaukee Comedy Festival in August.

It’s appropriate for audiences 15 and older.
