One of the draws of improvisation is the chance to witness the creative process of trained, experienced, witty artists collaborating. The experience is heightened when the talent includes actors, musicians and theater technicians working together to tell a story through song, dance and effects.
On the third Thursday of every month, The Improvised Musical performs a spontaneous show in which such multitalented collaboration unfolds. After almost two years, T.I.M. is hitting its sride and attracting full houses at ComedySportz Milwaukee, 420 S. 1st St.
The next show is 7:30 p.m., Thursday, April 18. Admission is only $5. Call (414) 272-8888 for reservations.
Meanwhile, check out the song “Lumberjacks in Love” from the March show, featuring (from left) Jordan Gwiazdowski, Robby McGhee, Jacob Bach and The Improvised Band.
