If you like your comedy standing up, Milwaukee’s got some shows for you:

At 7:45 p.m., Wednesday, April 24, there’s the monthly open mic and showcase at JD’s Comedy Café, 615 E. Brady St. From Facebook:  Some of the best up-and-coming comedians along with long time local favorites hit the stage to spread the laughter. Admission is FREE & you never know who may show up, often nationally touring comedians pop in to do a set before the weekend.

At 9 p.m. (8:30 for comics to sign up), Thursday, April 25, the Caste of Killers Comedy Collective presents Killer Comedy Open Mic, at the Art Bar Riverwest, 722 E. Burleigh St. That’s FREEadmission, too, and it’s got the reputation as one of the best open mics around.

At 7:30 p.m., Friday, April 26, the Caste of Killers sponsors the monthly Caffeinated Coffee Hour at Sherman Perk coffee shop, 4924 W. Roosevelt Drive. Facebook: “If you’ve never seen comedy performed in a gas station turned coffee shop, now’s your chance. $3 admission and a raffle for cool stuff at the end. And it’s BYOB if you want to have a few cold ones.
At 9:30 p.m., also Friday, the Cactus Club Comedy & Music Show. That’s $7 admission at 2946 S. Wentworth Ave. and features the Fatty Acids as well as the comedy stylings of:
