How about a long night of comedy to end the shortest month of the year!
The Arcade Theatre, in the Underground Collaborative, the home of Milwaukee Comedy, has two stellar end-of-the-month shows back-to-back on Friday, Feb. 28.
Variety Hour Happy Hour
Just as it sounds, this 60-minute show has a little bit of everything. As we learn on Facebook, this
"…extravaganza features plenty of laughs, bringing Milwaukee's best talent together in one show. Live music from house band Brian Bayer, special guest interviews, game-shows with fabulous prizes, and sketch comedy…"
It all starts at 7:30 p.m. For more information, and to secure $10 tickets ($15 at the door), please click here.
At 9:30 p.m., Jake Kornely and Tyler Menz perform as competing late-night talk show hosts collaborating on a combined program – telling jokes, playing games and interviewing guests. And if that seems like a similar description to the Variety Hour Happy Hour, then you haven't seen both to know the difference.
Seating begins at 9 p.m., so if you go to the Variety Hour, don't go far. Arrange your $10 tickets in advance by clicking here. Or pay $12 at the door – and take a chance it's not already sold out.
The Caste of Killers Comedy Collective, aka COK, that Milwaukee-based standup comedy dynamo, has the talent and wherewithal to stage three consecutive nights of comedy this weekend.
Milwaukee Stand Up Comedy Showcase
That's at 8:30 p.m., Friday, Feb. 21, at the Karma Bar & Grill, 600 E. Ogden Ave. This month's performers include:
- Nick Ledesma
- Liza Marie
- Ramie Makhlouf
- Nate Seek
- Sammy Arechar

Paulie's Beer Hall Open Mic
Open mics are where COK locates and helps develop talent. If you're a performer or a wannabe, it's opportunity calling. If you're a comedy aficionado, it's a chance to see new and upcoming acts for the price of a beverage. Admission is free. The show begins at 8 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 22. Paulie's Field Trip is at 1430 S. 81st St., which is West Allis.
Comedy at Vino on Main
This is a new one. Chastity Washington (pictured) will headline this debut show at 422 Main St., in Racine.
It starts at 8 p.m., Sunday, Feb. 23. Admission is $12, which includes a glass of wine.
Also, Sammy Arechar will be performing. Mario Robinson will be the host.
