Milwaukee Comedy brings you top-notch comedy shows featuring a variety of local and regional comedy acts in downtown Milwaukee! Stand up, sketch comedy, and improv – Milwaukee Comedy has it all at our downtown location and other venues around Milwaukee.
The core of the show is an hour+ stand-up from Damon Millard to be recorded, edited and later released as a physical CD and downloadable audio file. The Early part of the show, from the moment people walk in the door till the final act, will be a celebration of comedy, and especially Milwaukee comedy in all of it’s forms: Stand-up, sketch, improv etc. Ryan Lowe, a local legend is attached to perform his own set as well as in character as robot. On Feb 27th Lara Beitz will be a featured opener along with a showcase of other local talent.
Milwaukee Comedy is proud to present comedian Andy Kindler live one night only on Monday, April 4th, 2016 at 8pm. With comics Jake Kornely and Tyler Menz.
Andy Kindler is known in comedy circles as a troublemaker. Originally from New York, and now complaining from California, he annoys people all over the world. Andy was a frequent guest and correspondent for The Late Show with David Letterman with over 40 appearances. Each summer at the Just For Laughs Festival in Montreal he delivers the State of the Industry address to a packed ballroom filled with comics and Hollywood industry types. He is infamous for his scathing attacks on the world of entertainment, including the previously taboo practice of making fun of his fellow comedians. Andy currently recurs on IFC’s Maron and Fox’s hit animation, Bob’s Burgers.
About the Featured Comics…
Jake Kornely is an American comedian. He’s performed all over, from side rooms of bars to basements of bars. He used to host a show in the side room of a bowling alley. He co-created The Goodnight Milwaukee Show, a live late night talk show. He currently lives in Los Angeles where he is studying to be a clown.
J. Tyler Menz is Milwaukee’s favorite son. He has opened for a wide range of comedians, most notably a recent tour as the feature for Todd Barry. Tyler’s humor draws on his experiences as an elementary school teacher, family, and his deep contempt of how painfully white he is. In addition to performing stand up, Tyler produces and hosts many shows in the Milwaukee area including The Goodnight Milwaukee Show (sketch), Voyager (improv), Subjective (stand up), and the He Said She Said podcast.
