The one of a kind M.U.T.E.S. (Marvelous Unspeaking Troupe of Entertaining Scoundrels) have performed all over the city including more than once at the Milwaukee Comedy Festival!

The Marvelous Unspeaking Troupe of Entertaining Scoundrels or The M.U.T.E.S. are the nation’s premiere silent film inspired comedic theatre troupe. We have been performing in and around Milwaukee for over two years now. We’ve appeared at venues such as Turner Hall, The Milwaukee Theatre, Off Broadway Theatre, The Oriental & The Miramar just to name a few. We’ve collaborated with many local groups including Radio WHT, Miltown Kings, Brewcity Bombshells, Dead Man’s Carnival & Angry Young Men, Ltd. who perform NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD: the puppet show, every Halloween.
We are looking to increase our troupe from 7 to 11. We are looking for 3 women and 1 man.
The following are a must!
1. available for rehearsal/writing Wed nights from 7:30-10pm
2. flexibility to perform occasional weeknight and weekend gigs
3. ability and willingness to be very physical and make a fool of yourself
4. able to get along well with others/This is very much an ensemble!
The following are a plus!
1. writing skills/experience
2. familiarity with/fondness for silent movies
3. improv, sketch comedy experience
4. a vehicle
5. flexibility to have daytime availability to do gigs at schools
