If you’re into stuff like fresh air and sunshine, get your fill on Saturday because you’ll want to spend a few precious hours indoors Sunday afternoon. That’s when Round 2 of the ComedySportz Rec League playoffs are scheduled.
A record 14 teams in the league have narrowed down to six, which will compete in short-form improv matches beginning at 2 p.m. Sunday, June 5. Eventually, just two will face off for the championship around 4:30 p.m. It’s all at 420 S. 1st St. And it’s free.
ComedySportz also has announced its all-star selections from the rec league:
Jake Shaw, Matt Kemple, Ben Scharf, Melissa Kingston, Lindsay Walcott and Tyler White.

Just because I’m sending you outside for part of your weekend doesn’t mean you have to miss Milwaukee comedy events.
From 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday, June 4, Pink Banana Theatre Company is presenting a preview of a couple of its new one-act plays on the theme of higher education at Humboldt Park. Storytime in the Parks – from Pink Banana and the Park People of Milwaukee – also includes grownup-appropriate performances from Milwaukee-based improv groups Meanwhile Improv Troupe and Homegrown Electric Circus.
