As Ryan Holman describes it, it’s part of a pre-party for the Made in Milwaukee event Labor Day Saturday at Cathedral Square Park. But this is happening the night before – Made in Milwaukee Eve, let’s call it. And it’s not Downtown but Bay View.
Ryan and some of his standup friends are offering a free performance. (If you missed him at the Milwaukee Comedy Festival, Ryan is a funny guy.)
The show starts around 8:30 p.m. (Get seated as early as 7:30.), on Friday, Sept. 2, at Sugar Maple, 441 E. Lincoln Ave. Lara Beitz will open and emcee the show, followed by Sarandi Klikizos, Eric Thorson and then Ryan. As Ryan puts it:
“It’s going to be about an hour long overall, between the four of us, so it’s not superlong, so we can capture the people with shorter attention spans who want to get back to the beer (60+ tap beers there if you’ve never been). All of the comedians are local to Milwaukee, so that kind of fits the Made in Milwaukee theme kind of nicely. It’s also my first time headlining in the 8 months I’ve been doing this, so that’s a big deal for me personally.”
