“Running With” is the name of Milwaukee’s freshest improvisational comedy troupe. Because the name ends with a preposition, you kind of want to fill in the blank. “Scissors” comes to mind.
But filling in the blank is just the point. Nevin Langhus, one of the four young men forming the group, explains. “When improvists take a word and perform using that word, they take that word and ‘run with it’ so to speak. So we take the audience on a trip and run with them and the suggestions in an exploration of short- and long-form combined.”
The “we” includes Nevin, Tyler White, Cameron Smith and Roc Bauman. Their third show as “Running With” is scheduled for 7:30 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 4, at In Tandem Theatre, 628 N. 10th St. Admission is $5 cash.
If you like them – or even just their name – they’re debuting their promotional shirts at the show and bracelets and taking sales orders.
