This Tuesday marks the regular 8:30 p.m. monthly comedy show from the Caste of Killers Comedy Collective at Nice Ash Cigar Bar, 323 W. Main St., Waukesha.
Except this month’s is no regular show. Because it’s Valentine’s Day. That’s why. Caste of Killers is calling the show “Love and Ashes.”
From Facebook: “One avenue of the human condition we haven’t tackled to the floor and shackled to a radiator is love. Not that the Caste do not love. We just have very busy schedules and cannot find time amongst all the slaughter to think about giving our hearts to anything except poorly lit rooms full of drunken, rambling patrons.”
Well, that oversight ends Tuesday, apparently. Again with the Facebook: “Aside from the brilliant stand-up that we bring to you every single month, we are going to be keeping you in the in the stumbly mood for love with chocolate martini specials and giveaways for best/worst stories of the heartstring sort.”
The show features Mike Lebovitz and “hopeless romantic” Drew Michael, both of Comedians You Should Know, as well as the Caste’s own Jason Hillman and Mario Robinson.
And finally, from the Facebook invitation: “Bring a Craigslist date. Bring an effigy of the last person who broke your heart. Bring a stuffed animal with a torn out chest. Whatever gets you through the day.”
