The Caste of Killers Comedy Collective seems to be everywhere all the time, wreaking influence on regular standup comedy performances such as High Brow Comedy at the Nice Ash Cigar Bar in Waukesha, the Milwaukee Comedy Stand-Up Showcase at Karma Bar & Grill and the Open Mic at Art Bar Riverwest.
But the caste has been around only two years. I know because they’re having a free birthday bash at 8:30 p.m. on Thursday, March 22, at the Art Bar, 722 E. Burleigh Ave. The caste also is a sponsor the Battle Royale standup competition for a featured slot in the 7th annual Milwaukee Comedy Festival.
From their website: “That’s right! For two years now COK has been changing the landscape of the Milwaukee comedy scene and on March 22nd we’ll go back to the place that started it all, Art Bar River West. Just as we did our first night back in 2010 we’re putting on another free show.”
