Tune In

Ex Fabula is a Milwaukee-based live storytelling experience that at 6 p.m., March 29, presents a live radio broadcast on WMSE -FM (91.7).

The broadcast, which features a studio audience, is part of a series on the Milwaukee experience through the eyes of lifelong Milwaukeean Tom Crawford, whose story intermingles with WMSE, the free-format radio station owned and operated by the Milwaukee School of Engineering.

From the web: “For this particular event, a handful of WMSE DJs past and present, will be sharing their stories on the theme Frontier Radio and their personal experiences on the ‘frontiers’ of Milwaukee. Milwaukee historian John Gurda will also contribute historical vignettes throughout the live broadcast.”

This event may not be strictly Milwaukee comedy, but it’s free and accessible, and if you listen, you’ll likely find moments of humor. At least you’ll hear connections that will help you better appreciate the community.

  1. Ex Fabula also hosts lots of monthly events where people can share true personal stories – and while the overall goal is to create community, comedy does frequently emerge. Hope to see more people from the comedy scene there – and hear your stories!
