Boulevard Ensemble Theatre begins a one-month run of the comedy “Cowboy versus Samurai” with a pay-as-you-can preview at 7:30 p.m., Tuesday, May 22. The play is a take on “Cyrano de Bergerac” set in the narrowly populated Asian American community of Breakneck, Wyoming.
The cast includes David Lee, Clarence “Sammy” Aumend, Veronica Sotelo and Rick Fresca.
The official opening is May 23, and the closing night is Sunday, June 24. Tickets are $20 (although discounts are available), and the theater is at 2252 S. Kinnickinnic Ave.
