The dictionary definition of “festering” is a building up of poisonous, irritating ooze. The opposite of that would describe the giddy momentum that’s starting to bubble for the Milwaukee Comedy Fest.
The 7th annual Milwaukee Comedy Festival runs Aug.3 through Aug. 11 at the Next Act Theatre space, 255 S. Water St. It’s two weekends of sketch, standup and improv comedy and more, showcasing local talent as well as performers from across the country. Tickets are $15 in advance, $18 at the door.
