It’s barely winter and already the sketchy damsels of Milwaukee’s broadminded Comedy – always thinking ahead – have announced their spring show.Mark your calendar (First, make sure it’s a 2013 edition.) for April 5, 6, 12 and 13 for the next broadminded sketch comedy show. The performances will be at the Tenth Street Theatre, 628 N. 10th St., and home to the In Tandem Theatre Company.
Not only broadminded but generous, the troupe of Stacy Babl, Anne Graff LaDisa, Melissa Kingston, and Megan McGee also is promoting the other big sketch event in Milwaukee.
In an email alert to its fans, broadminded wrote:
“Need a ‘broadminded fix’ to tide you over until April? You’re in luck, because some of the broads will be in Sketch 22, a comedy event in which ten different sketches are written, rehearsed and performed, all in the space of in 22 hours. Megan and Anne are teaming up to write; then Melissa will be directing and Megan will be acting.”
Patrick Schmitz presents Sketch 22 at 7 p.m., Saturday, Jan. 12, at ComedySportz, 420 S 1st St. Tickets are $10, but broadminded advises getting there early because it sells out fast.
(Yeah, we know it’s the same time the Packers kick off against the 49ers. But this drama is unpredictable.)
