Feels like you’ve waited a lifetime to go to the Dead?
Well, wait no more.
Evil Dead: The Musical Milwaukee! runs from Thursday, Oct. 23 to Saturday, Nov. 1.
If you’re unfamiliar with the story, here’s what Facebook says about it:
“Five college students spend the weekend in an abandoned cabin in the woods, accidentally unleashing an evil terror. In this comedic musical adaptation of the 1980s horror franchise, characters and demons sing and dance to original songs written to pay homage to the terrifying trilogy. And, as in the films, Ash is there to dish out his various one liners and fight the never ending demons.
“The musical takes creative liberty with the plot line of the movies (Evil Dead, Evil Dead 2: Dead by Dawn, and Army of Darkness), mixing together the best characters and concepts of all three films.”
If that’s not good enough for you, read what Russ Bickerstaff wrote via the Shepherd Express.
Directed by Jared Stepp, with a killer cast of Milwaukee actors and musicians, Evil Dead’s tickets are on pre-sale at discounts through Monday, Oct. 20:
- $20 for general admission ($25 after Oct. 20)
 - $25 for SplatterZone ($30 after Oct. 20).

Yeah, that’s right. SplatterZone. We can tell you that includes ponchos. And those seats are nearly sold out.
The scene of the crimes is the Arcade Theatre, in the Underground Collaborative, 161 W. Wisconsin Ave., lower level.
