Retro Comedy Night Saturday

For one night and one night only this month, Milwaukee Comedy and the Underground Collaborative will indulge in your lifelong fantasy of being in the live studio audience of one of your all-time favorite TV sitcoms.

Except, you don’t get to pick the sitcom. You won’t even know which sitcom it is until just before the show starts. It’s like being in a different time zone with out a TV schedule and you don’t know what you’ll find on TV.

Surprise! It’s another Retro Comedy Night.

Retro Comedy Night Saturday, Feb. 28, 8 p.m.

From the website:

Here is what to expect!

We’ll present a Television sitcom from the 70’s 80’s or 90’s! The episode is transcribed, rehearsed and performed live by local comedians.

So the only ones who know which sitcom it is are the men and women who have been rehearsing the show (regularly among the best and brightest of Milwaukee’s comedy and theater communities). In addition, there’s this from Facebook:

This month will also feature comedian Sammy Arechar. A local favorite and bright new voice in today’s comedy world—Sammy’s sense of humor and hard work have landed him gigs opening for nationally touring comedians such as T.J. Miller, Matt Braunger, Garfunkel and Oates, Johnny Pemberton, Josh Fadem, and Ari Shaffir.

The Underground Collaborative is at 161 W. Wisconsin Ave., lower level. Admission is $10 in advance, $15 at the door.
