The Milwaukee Comedy Festival is excited to announce that submissions are now being accepted for this years event, August 4-7, 2016! They are looking for the best live comedy from across the country and beyond! The Milwaukee Comedy Festival will accept submissions for improv, sketch comedy, stand up comedy, one-person shows, alternative comedy acts and musical comedy. The Milwaukee Comedy Festival is Wisconsin’s largest multi-day comedy event and features some of the best comedy from across the country including live stand up, sketch and improv comedy! In 2015, MCF featured headliner Brian Posehn and more than 14 different shows and events. Interested comedians, improv groups and sketch comedy acts can submit the application to perform along with a small application fee: Stand up $15, Sketch/ Improv $20. Submissions are reviewed by a panel of industry professionals and judged based on quality, originality, professionalism, audience reaction and above all, funniness. Applications will be accepted until May 1, 2016 at 11:59pm. Late Submissions will be accepted starting May 2nd at 12:00am until May 7th at Noon and require a submission fee of $30. Audiences visit Milwaukee from across the country including New York, Chicago, Los Angeles, Philadelphia, Denver and Austin as well as Canada including Toronto, Alberta and Vancouver. The 11th annual Milwaukee Comedy Festival will take place August 4-7, 2016.
