Consider it your invitation to see some of Milwaukee’s funniest up-and-coming as well as established-and-diligent standup comedians. Sometimes there’s even a stray professional comic in town who gets drawn in like a prize fighter to a street brawl. You never know.
Ryan Holman will emcee the event, which includes scheduled appearances by Damon Millard, Chris Lay and Ryan Mason.
And there’s no admission.
From Facebook: “This month’s final Wednesday just so happens to fall on Halloween so wear your scariest, sexiest, most unique costume for a chance to have your drinks paid for by The Comedy Café…that’s right, get voted best costume and drink for FREE.”
The showcase features eight comedians who compete via audience approval for a cash prize and the chance to return to the Comedy Café for a regular weekend show and open for a nationally touring comic.
If you’re a comic interested in the monthly Comedy Café showcase, make arrangements through Damon Millard, of the Caste of Killers Comedy Collective.

Regular shows include 8 p.m. Thursdays, 9 p.m. Fridays and 8 p.m. and 10:15 p.m. Saturdays. Tickets are $8 at the door ($5 online) Thursdays and $12 at the door ($9) Fridays and Saturdays. Plus, there are two-drink minimums. Please click here for more information, or call 414-271-JOKE. That’s right. They’re so entrenched they have “JOKE” as a phone number.
