Jimmy McHugh is the main attraction for the second monthly Papa’s Social Club Comedy Tour, which takes flight at 8 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 11, at 7718 W. Burleigh St., in Tosa.McHugh has been opening lately for Dennis Miller. You may have seen him on Comedy Central, HBO, MTV, ESPN2 or the Oprah Winfrey Show. (Noted for his sports humor, the Chicago native will have easy pickings on the Packers side of the line.)
I’m not sure at what point an event becomes a regular thing, so I didn’t call the first Papa’s show in September a monthly gig. Now I can.
Brendan O’Day will emcee the event, which also features Bert Borth, Russ Martin and food and beverage specials.
Tickets are $10 at the door or two for $15 if you buy them in advance – another example of how it can pay to think ahead.
Milwaukee-based caricature comedian Bill Begos said the first Papa’s was fun and performers got good feedback, which always is a great place to start.
