Undebatable

More than 60% of Americans say they’ll tune in to the Presidential debate Wednesday night, Oct. 3.

Sheeyah! We know better.

Everyone is going to TiVo the debate and then read all the coverage Thursday morning in The New York Times and the Wall Street Journal.

What they’re going to do Wednesday night is go out and get some honest-to-goodness real live entertainment.

In Milwaukee, some will mosey over to Open Mic Under the Stairs, at the Karma Bar & Grill, 600 E. Ogden Ave. – an intimate place for standup comedy and a favorite showcase for comics – both up-and-coming and long-in-the-tooth. It’s a production of the Caste of Killers Comedy Collective. And, like America, it’s free.

The show starts at 8 p.m. Be there by 7:30 if you want to perform.

Also Wednesday, you can watch or, better yet, participate in the Open Improv jam that starts at 7 p.m.in The Underground Collaborative, 161 W. Wisconsin Ave. It’s like an open mic night, but for improv comedy. Similar to politics, it will cost you. Lucky for you, it’s pay what you can, so you can get in for as little as a $1!
