Love of Laughter, the comedy club that’s a Toastmasters group in Waukesha, is having a free symposium on comedy writing.
Not to raise expectations or anything, but here’s how the news release starts: “Do you want to speak in Public, make money at Standup, be engaging and funny at work or play, or hope to one day go out on a date?”
Seriously, it’s a free workshop from a group that regularly coaches folks on how to be appropriately funny in public.
Again, from the release: “At the symposium you will learn how to improve your public speaking, make you lucid on stage, end an argument, get a raise at work or make people think you’re smart.”
The free two-hour class starts at 6:35 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 17, at the Goodwill Training Center, in Waukesha, on Nike Boulevard and Main Street. It is free, but you need to register by clicking here to send an email to Tom McFarlin. And it is Waukesha, remember, so allow yourself extra time to find it.
