Bette Davis eyes

Milwaukee’s Renaissance Theaterworks has begun a four-week run of Don Nigro’s comic clash between two aging rival film divas cast as murderous sisters in a B horror movie.

In its review of “Gorgons,” starring Jennifer Rupp and Marcella Kearns, The ThirdCoast Digest cites “brilliant performances and cutting wit.” Tap Milwaukee calls the play a “comic delight” and says the set is a “masterpiece of small space usage.”

“Gorgons” continues through Nov. 6 at the Broadway Theatre Center, 158 N. Broadway St. Tickets are $34 in advance with some restricted general rush seats and student discounts. Please click here for more information.

And here’s something: Saturday, Oct. 29, the 8 p.m. show includes a Bette Davis/Joan Crawford costume contest. Plan your Halloweekend accordingly.
