Jokerz Comedy Club will be the scene of a multi-night talent hunt that doubles as both a contest for comedians and a showcase for Milwaukee’s comedy community.
From the web: “This search will begin with Fame: A Comedy Contest, a chance for every willing up and coming comedian in the area to lay down their best in the name of honor, glory and bragging rights. Also, the chance to stand on the best stage in the area and perform in front of the people that will put you on the map.”
On Thursday, July 14, 15 contestants will face off in a free performance. One week later, on July 21, 15 more will go. The final round, featuring the most outstanding stand-ups from the first two nights, takes place Thursday, July 28, for $2 admission.
Jason Hillman, of Caste of Killers Comedy Collective, says the contest will determine one grand winner and two runners-up, with “fantastic prizes and some special guests.”
