Trying to capitalize on a form of fundraising synonymous with France’s favorite comedian, the folks from Worst Case Scenario are staging a faux telethon for the Milwaukee Comedy Festival. The Milwaukee-based comedy group is performing a series of scenes, games and bits along with actors from The Midnight Show, Meanwhile Improv Troupe and Homegrown Electric Circus.
From the news release, so it’s official: “Expect Sponsored Items to be auctioned, performers shamelessly putting themselves in precarious positions for your bids, and of course WCS is performing. All the proceeds of the telethon will help offset the cost of the Milwaukee Comedy Festival, happening right here at ComedySportz the first week of August, in which they will bring you the best comedy from Milwaukee and around the country!”
