Thursday Night Musical Improv

The National Football League has tried to make Thursday nights a bigger deal by scheduling games then (much as it has tried to do with Monday nights and Sunday nights, because, you know, football makes everything better, and we can’t get enough on Sunday afternoons alone to satisfy us for the whole week).

Of course, Thursday afternoon football is just part of everybody’s Thanksgiving tradition. Stuffing yourself with poultry and pies just wouldn’t be American if you don’t watch the Detroit Lions and the Dallas Cowboys.

Well, this Thursday being the third Thursday is special without the NFL, thank you very much. Because the third Thursday is reserved for T.I.M. (The Improvised Musical). That’s why.

Each month, the T.I.M. cast and in-house band improvise an hour-long Broadway-style musical from a suggestion offered by the audience. The show has become so popular in its fourth year that it’s regularly selling out. So you might want to put your computer down right now and call (414) 272-8888 for reservations.

Thursday Night T.I.M. 7:30 p.m., $5

As usual, it’s at ComedySportz, 420 S. 1st St.
