Have you heard? WUWM Radio – 89.7 FM has been spicing up its local programming via WUWM at Nite and including more voices from the local scenes.
For instance, you can hear the latest from Ex Fabula, the Milwaukee-based story-telling group, after 9 p.m. on Wednesdays. Ex Fabula has a contributor page on WUWM’s website. Of course, this Wednesday, Feb. 18, you can be part of Ex Fabula’s monthly story slam.
Ex Fabula – 7:30 p.m., Times Cinema, 5906 W. Vliet St.
Not only are you able to stand up and share your own true five-minute story, but you have a chance to hear the stories of others. Often, members of the Milwaukee comedy community turn out and participate. The theme this month: Degrees of Separation. Click here for $8 advance tickets and more details.
WUWM at Nite and Milwaukee Comedy
Speaking of comedy, Milwaukee Comedy also has a spot at WUWM at Nite. Milwaukee Comedy Festival founder Matt Kemple has been working with WUWM’s Rachel Owens to broadcast insightful interviews with local and visiting comedians. Recent interviews have included Ryan Lowe, Martin Morrow, Jason Powell and W. Kamau Bell. We are archiving the interviews here and will alert you as more come aboard. You’re welcome.
