School’s out, don’t we all deserve a laugh?
This just in: Homegrown Electric Circus, Milwaukee’s newest improv group, will have another improv show at The Alchemist Theatre (2569 South Kinnickinnic Avenue) on Thursday, May 27. Doors open at 9:00, the show starts at 9:30. Tickets are only $5 and can be purchased at the door. We here at Milwaukee Comedy have had a chance to see these very funny people. The shows do not disappoint, so be sure to check it out!
Featuring the talents of Josh Barto, Patrick Glapa, Scott Heaton, Evan Koepnick, Jazmin Vollmar and Mike Walker.
Speaking of school, the Tenth Street Theatre (628 N. 10th Street, Downtown Milwaukee) will again feature Teen Comedy Night at 8pm the same evening.
From the show posting:
Our favorite high school funsters, led by Joel Boyd, are back and guaranteed* to make you laugh with their fresh comedy and live improv! As always, the show is rated G and fun for the entire family! Tickets available at the door: $5 students, $7 adults (17+)
(*Not a money-back or iron-clad guarantee, but the kind that people say when, you know, they think you’ll really like something. If you don’t at least chuckle at these kids’ jokes, well then there may be something wrong with your funny bone and you should really have that checked out.)
Hello Milwaukee Comedy Admin,
I am Chad Turingan, founder of Kill It In A Minute, a new website that challenges comedians to deliver their best routines in 1 minute or less!
On this site, your members can test their comedy chops and see if they
can "kill it" in front of a random crowd.
This website is intended to both provide entertainment for our
audience and to be a gauge for the comedians. Can they make us
laugh in 1 minute or less? Will they kill it? Or will they bomb big
time?
This will be a great opportunity for your members to get exposure to different crowds online. Your students can send me their 1-minute comedy material and I will post it on the website. Once their video is posted, we will have as many people visit the site and comment if the video was funny or not. Harsh words are not allowed on the comments. You can go to the website killitinaminute.com for further information.
Your students can send me their 1-minute video to chadturingan@killitinaminute.com
I sincerely hope your members can participate. It would be my pleasure to have them on our site. Feel free to contact me for any questions.
Thank you!
Chad Turingan
