Anybody who has been part of the Milwaukee comedy scene for any length of time will tell you that it is a supportive community. No joking.
Find out yourself.
7 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 4, at ComedySportz, 420 S. 1st St.
That’s when comedians and lovers of comedy are scheduled to put on a show of support for a keystone in Milwaukee comedy: Tim Higgins.
As Tim explains on Facebook, his wife, Eva, has had one horrendous bummer of a time recovering from a tumble she took 15 years ago. Multiple misdiagnoses, three surgeries and disability have resulted in Tim working three jobs. And still, he and Eva have a heap of bills to contend with.
And so, the Milwaukee comedy community is rallying to help.
For a suggested donation of $5, you’ll see the good humor of
- Greg Bach
- Erik Koconis
- Ryan Lowe
- Stacy Pawlowski
- Sammy Arechar
- And Tim’s improv group, The Midnite Show
The doors open at 7 p.m. The show starts at 8. The evening includes a raffle as well as a hugging zone. Donate. Then hug.
“And that’s what people are like: ‘How can I help?’”
Tim Higgins
