Romeo & Juliet, laugh on

Patrick Schmitz has announced that Muskego High School has bought the rights to his parody, “The Comedy of Romeo & Juliet…Kinda Sorta” and is scheduled to present the play the first weekend in May. The students of Muskego High will perform the funniest teenage tragedy you’ll ever see, with 7 o’clock shows on Friday and Saturday and a 2 o’clock matinee on Sunday.

The Comedy of Romeo & Juliet…Kinda Sort – May 1-3

Patrick debuted “The Comedy of Romeo & Juliet…Kinda Sorta” with an all-star Milwaukee comedy cast last August at the Next Act Theatre. Not one to rest on his laurels – which include the sold out “Rudolf the Pissed-Off Reindeer” – Patrick already has another fractured classic tale in the works for this summer.

The Comedy of Hamlet…Kinda Sorta – Aug. 20-22

Besides writing the play, Patrick will be directing the Shakesparody Players in the Hamlet parody, again at Next Act, 255 S. Water St.

That’s still months away, so we’ll remind you later. For now, just save the dates.

And congratulate Patrick.
