Congratulations to Milwaukee’s own Chastity Washington for winning win the 2015 American Black Film Festival’s Comedy Wings Competition, sponsored by HBO.
Chastity is a dynamic, energetic standup who tours nationally and just happens to call Milwaukee home.

Chastity is a former teacher and coach turned comedian and actress. Her stand-up career highlights include HBO Def Jam, 50 Hot Women in Stand Up, AfterEllen.com, BET Comic View, Montreal Just for Laughs Festival, and History Channel. Chastity is also a NBC Diversity Finalist.
As Tyler Maas reported in the Milwaukee Record, Chastity is “not quite a household name in Milwaukee outside of the comedy community,” but in 20 years of performing, she “has earned her fair share of attention and accolades from some pretty impressive places.”
