Karma Showcase – Breese swan songs

Our friends at the Caste of Killers Comedy Collective is a comedy show dynamo in Milwaukee, and it is not missing a beat this long Labor Day weekend.

Showcase – 8:45 p.m. Friday, Sept. 4, Karma

In addition to this being the first Friday of the Caste’s first and third Friday showcases at Karma Bar & Grill, 600 E. Ogden Ave., it kicks off the last weekend of performances by Steve Breese.

Steve has been a fixture in the Milwaukee comedy community the last four years, both behind the mic and behind the scenes. Next week, Steve follows a recent spate of Milwaukee comedy performers to pursue his passion elsewhere. Steve is moving to Los Angeles.

Besides Steve, the lineup for Friday’s Caste of Killers Showcase includes:

The Caste says of Adam, via Facebook:

“His absurdist, verbose comedy is long on metaphor and analogy and short on common sense. He has appeared on Doug Loves Movies, The Benson Interruption, the Bob and Tom show, WGN 720 AM radio, Put Your Hands Together, and many more podcasts and shows. Adam has appeared at the Bridgetown Comedy Festival in Portland OR, as part of the Just for Laughs Chicago festival for four years running, and at the local stage of Funny Or Die’s Oddball Comedy Festival.”

Last year, readers of the Chicago Reader voted Adam, a native of the UK, “Best Standup in Chicago.” He has opened for an array of comedians including  Marc Maron, Jeff Ross, Hannibal Burress, John Mulaney, Hari Kondabolu, Maria Bamford, Michael Ian Black, Kumail Nanjiani, John Oliver, Tracy Morgan an Aziz Ansari.

Tickets for the Friday Showcase are $7 online or $10 at the door; $5 with a student ID.

Steve Breese calls Karma his favorite.
