Fresh from their performance at the 10th Milwaukee Comedy Festival, T.I.M. (The Improvised Musical) resumes its regular third Thursday show at ComedySportz, 420 S. 1st St.
Each T.I.M. show is improvised, of course, so the time and place are the only things that are regular in this monthly musical. But this month’s show is extra ordinary. Because it’s the first-ever T.I.M. alumni show, that’s why. It will feature cast members who have sung and gone since T.I.M. began in 2011.
T.I.M. Alumni Show – 7:30 p.m., Thursday, Aug. 20
As T.I.M. describes its show on Facebook:
“Milwaukee’s only fully improvised musical brings you a musical that you will only see that night and never again! Based only on an audience suggestion for a title of a musical that has never been made before, 7 cast members, a live 6 piece band, and a light designer bring you a Broadway-style musical totally off the cuff.”
As always, tickets for T.I.M. are just $5 reserved or $7 at the door. We recommend saving yourself $2 and reserving a seat. Call (414-272-8888) weekdays. (T.I.M. posted on Facebook Aug. 12 that reservations were filling up already then.)
At the Milwaukee Comedy Fest, T.I.M. wowed the audience with an abbreviated musical based on the audience-suggested title “What Did I Just Eat?” It began with the entire cast retching (complete with lyrics and dancing) on stage, and it developed into a full-blown high school love story.
You’ll recognize several T.I.M. cast members in this new Milwaukee-made rap video, too. It’s by Lady Minerva (aka Amanda Sinko). Check it out!
