Halloween is history, and Thanksgiving is just a couple of Packer games away. So, it feels about time to have a broadminded comedy show.
Sure enough, the grandes dames of Milwaukee comedy are performing their latest show, Danger Zone, the next couple of Friday and Saturday nights at the Tenth Street Theatre, 628 N. 10th St.
Danger Zone – 7:30 p.m., Nov. 13, 14, 20, 21
The “broads” – as they call themselves, which makes it OK – are serving their fresh, locally grown, organic sketch comedy in what is becoming a Thanksgivingtide tradition. Or is it coordinated with the gun deer hunting season? The all-female sketch comedy troupe has been performing since 2006 and appeared in each of the 10 Milwaukee Comedy Festivals.
From the Internet:
This show really packs a punch! Super heroes, carnival accidents, home security systems and household chemicals are just a few of the topics the broads dare to tackle in this dangerously funny show!
Tickets are $12 in advance (by clicking here) otherwise $15 at the door. They’re also offering a six-pack of advance tickets for $60. (Do the math! That’s one free ticket.)
Also from the web:
Although their comedy has been called intelligent, the ladies of Broadminded still like to live dangerously from time to time; Melissa Kingston has been known to text and drive, Megan McGee tests the limits of the 5 second rule, Anne Graff LaDisa stands on chairs to reach things from the top shelf, and Stacy Babl shoots guns.
