Indiana-based K~Radiant Productions is promoting a contest for “The Best Comedian in the Midwest” with $20 registration already begun and three auditions scheduled for Milwaukee.
The promotion is called Stand-Up for Autism (and also Standup for Autism) because the organizer says it’s donating 75% of ticket sales to the Autism Society of Indiana.
ComedySportz improv venues in Milwaukee, Chicago and Indianapolis are hosting auditions with live audiences in November, December and January. The Milwaukee auditions are Nov. 8, Dec. 6 and Jan. 10. Some 315 comedians each will perform three (3) minutes of comedy. Judges select the 40 funniest, and those finalists will compete in Indianapolis beginning in February.
The final four receive prizes ranging from $1,000 to $5,000, with “the best comedian” emerging from the four in a final performance April 4 in Indianapolis.
To register for $20 for one of the 315 audition spots (105 in Milwaukee) and for more information, please click here.
