Milwaukee-based sketch comedy
Members of Sketch Marks include Kristin Althoff, Joel Dresang, Vince Figueroa, Amanda Sinko, Scott Heaton, Lee Rowley, Becca Segal and Lindsey Walcott.
Over the years, you have seen us perform individually with such groups as Busy Bar, Bye Bye Liver, ComedySportz, Crouch Comedy, The Dinner Detective, ExFabula, The Faculty, Goodnight Milwaukee, Homegrown Electric Circus, the Over Our Head Players, Retro Comedy Night, Sketch 22, Tall Boys and T.I.M. (The Improvised Musical).
In 2013, inspired by Sketch 22, broadminded Comedy and the Milwaukee Comedy Festival, we put our silly heads together and formed a new sketch comedy troupe, the Sketch Marks. You know how funny we are with other comedy performers. Imagine us combined. Better yet, come see our shows. Bookmark this page and check back to learn about the next Sketch Marks performance.
Sketch Marks your calendar:
In our first two shows, just eight weeks apart, we performed 25 original sketches (including two choreographed song parodies) to full houses.
Then, we entertained a standing-room audience at the 9th annual Milwaukee Comedy Festival* at Milwaukee’s Next Act Theatre.
Our next act: Two nights with Tall Boys improv in the Farina Arena at Milwaukee’s ComedySportz, where we had to add chairs to accommodate everyone.
After that, a lively night at the Underground Collaborative, where we performed in a showcase with four other Milwaukee comedy groups to premiere two new short films. A few weeks later, another show at ComedySportz with Improv Limbo, and a week after that, we performed in a fundraiser for “The Comedy of Hamlet…kinda sorta,” by Patrick Schmitz, and featuring our own Lee Rowley and Lindsey Walcott and Vince Figueroa, as Hamlet himself.
8 p.m., Friday July 17, at 420 S. 1st St.
