Amanda hug and laugh

Her cover photo on Facebook says it all.

It’s a quote and photo of Conan O’Brien:

“Work hard, be kind, and amazing things will happen.”

That’s the epitome of Amanda Stellberg. For the past few years, you’ve seen her all about the Milwaukee comedy scene.

She’s a regular player at ComedySportz. She has participated in the semi-annual Sketch 22 comedy shows. As a student at Marquette University, she has contributed to the theater program there. She also has performed in any number of community productions, including the recently completed For Purely Elfish Reasons, at the Alchemist Theatre. Amid all that, Amanda has made time to study comedy in Chicago.

Next month, Amanda departs Milwaukee to Los Angeles for an internship with the aforementioned Conan O’Brien. That appears pretty amazing. Except, if you know Amanda at all, you know that it’s mostly the result of her hard work and consistent kindness.

Before Amanda leaves, the Milwaukee comedy community has a chance to see her perform with The Midnite Show. That’s the adult-rated comedy improv show every Saturday at midnight at ComedySportz, 420 S. 1st St.

From Amanda’s Facebook event:

It’s my last official weekend at ComedySportz Milwaukee for a while, and I had the honor of being invited to be in The Midnite Show! Come down for the show and hang out afterwards before I move over two-thousand miles awaaaaayyy!!! 5 bucks at the door!
